Veolia has achieved the Business Working Responsibly Mark. Established in 2010 by Business in the Community Ireland and audited by the NSAI, the Business Working Responsibly Mark is a leading standard for sustainability that fosters a culture of continuous improvement, ongoing accountability and leadership.
This year, for the first time, Veolia's operations in Northern Ireland, along with operations in the Republic of Ireland, were included in the scope of the certification. The successful achievement of the Mark builds on Veolia’s existing Sliver Level CORE accreditation as a responsible business awarded by Business in the Community Northern Ireland.
Veolia’s success in being reaccredited is based on developing and implementing a credible, meaningful roadmap to sustainability. Achieving the Mark recognises Veolia’s established management systems, good governance and commitment to continuous improvement.
Successfully achieving the Mark is based on the organisation’s approach to creating a positive and sustainable economic impact, the organisation’s approach to engaging with key social stakeholders and the organisation’s approach to responsibly managing its total environmental footprint across its operations and value chain.
